Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class B commercial motor vehicle with a refrigerated trailer for local delivery routes, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
• Perform 100% driver load and unload duties, which includes physically handling bulk and pre-cut fruits, vegetables, dairy, and other food items using equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gates.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and refrigeration unit, documenting any defects or issues promptly.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to various service operators, maintaining proper temperature control throughout the transportation process.
• Verify order accuracy with customers at delivery points, obtaining necessary signatures and providing excellent customer service.
• Manage and maintain all required delivery paperwork, including logs, manifests, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, and any issues encountered on route.
• Adhere to a consistent day shift schedule, working 5 days on and enjoying 2 consecutive days off, ensuring reliable service to our customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of company vehicles and equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an excellent driving record.
• Proven experience as a Company Driver (W2, Solo) in a refrigerated transport environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform 100% driver load/unload duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy product cases (up to 50 lbs regularly).
• Familiarity with operating and monitoring refrigerated units to maintain product integrity.
• Ability to work a dedicated local day shift schedule, consistently working 5 days on and having 2 days off.
• Strong commitment to safety, adherence to DOT regulations, and company policies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
