We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Junior Consultant to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and in-depth analysis on emerging green technologies, sustainable market trends, and relevant policy frameworks within the energy, environment, and mobility sectors across Europe.
• Provide crucial support to Senior Consultants in the meticulous execution and management of complex sustainability and innovation projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery in line with client objectives.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed and insightful reports, engaging presentations, and compelling proposals, particularly focusing on securing grants and public funding for client innovation projects across various European programs.
• Contribute to the development of tailored sustainability strategies and roadmaps for our diverse client portfolio, helping them navigate complex challenges, identify opportunities, and achieve their environmental and business goals.
• Actively participate in client meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations, documenting key discussions, gathering precise requirements, and contributing valuable insights and perspectives.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, outcomes, and overall impact against established benchmarks, identifying areas for optimization and continuous improvement in project methodologies.
• Stay abreast of the latest scientific, technological, and regulatory developments in sustainable innovation, proactively sharing knowledge internally and contributing to our collective expertise and thought leadership.
• Support internal business development initiatives, including market analysis, lead generation, and proposal writing, to expand EGEN’s reach and impact within the green innovation ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and long-term collaboration.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Sustainable Engineering, Business Administration (with a focus on sustainability), Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline.
• A demonstrable and deep-seated passion for sustainability, green innovation, and a genuine desire to make a positive environmental impact through your professional work.
• Strong analytical capabilities, proven ability to conduct thorough research, synthesize complex information from various sources, and formulate clear, actionable conclusions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for effective international collaboration, client interaction, and report generation.
• Proficiency in Dutch is considered a significant advantage, particularly for engaging with local clients and stakeholders within the Netherlands and Belgium.
• Proven ability to work both effectively independently, managing tasks with initiative and responsibility, and collaboratively within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment.
• A proactive mindset, an eagerness to continuously learn and develop new skills, and a keen problem-solving approach to complex and often novel challenges.
• Familiarity with European funding programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, LIFE, Innovation Fund), grant application processes, or project management methodologies is a valuable asset.
