You will spend three days a week working from one of our modern Assessment Centres located across London or Essex, engaging directly with individuals. The remaining two days will be spent working remotely from the comfort of your home, allowing for focused report writing and administrative tasks. This model is specifically designed to provide a more balanced approach to your career, acknowledging the demands of the nursing profession while offering a supportive and empowering work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive face-to-face and telephone assessments with individuals to understand how their health conditions, disabilities, or impairments impact their daily functional abilities and overall quality of life.
- Utilise your expert clinical judgment and knowledge to objectively evaluate complex medical information and evidence provided by claimants and healthcare professionals.
- Accurately document assessment findings, observations, and conclusions in detailed, evidence-based reports that meet established quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a supportive and respectful assessment environment.
- Adhere strictly to professional codes of conduct, ethical guidelines, and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive working culture.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training to maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring timely completion of assessments and reports while maintaining high quality standards.
- Provide clear, concise, and defensible explanations of assessment outcomes, supporting the decision-making process.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Full and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is essential.
- A minimum of 12 months post-registration clinical experience within a relevant healthcare setting.
- Demonstrable ability to apply clinical knowledge and judgment to assess complex cases across a broad spectrum of health conditions.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation, report writing, and case management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to critically evaluate information and form reasoned conclusions.
- The ability to travel to and work from one of our Assessment Centres in London or Essex for three days per week.
- A dedicated and suitable home working environment for two days per week.
