About This Role
Destinus is at the forefront of aerospace and defense innovation, pioneering high-speed flight and sustainable propulsion technologies that are set to redefine an entire industry. To support our ambitious vision and rapid expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior ERP Finance Systems Specialist. This pivotal role will be instrumental in optimizing our financial operations through the strategic deployment, ongoing management, and continuous enhancement of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system's finance modules. You will be a key driver in ensuring our financial systems are robust, efficient, and perfectly aligned with the evolving needs of our groundbreaking business. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead critical projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and make a tangible impact on the financial backbone of a company revolutionizing its industry. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and our external ERP implementation partner to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- ERP Project Leadership: Take a leading role in the planning, execution, and delivery of ERP projects focused on financial modules. This includes defining project scope, developing detailed plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all deliverables meet stringent quality standards. You will serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and our external ERP implementation partner, facilitating effective communication and collaboration for successful project outcomes from initiation to post-implementation review.
- System Maintenance & Optimization: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of the ERP system's financial modules. This encompasses proactive monitoring, troubleshooting issues, managing system upgrades and patches, and ensuring the system operates at peak performance and security. Continuously identify opportunities to optimize financial workflows, streamline processes, and leverage advanced ERP functionalities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort across accounting, treasury, and financial planning functions.
- Data Integrity & Governance: Establish and enforce robust data governance policies and procedures to safeguard the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data within the ERP system. Conduct regular data audits, implement validation rules, and ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and external regulatory standards. Your meticulous efforts will be crucial in providing accurate financial reporting and supporting data-driven strategic decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to various departments, including Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT. Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for ERP solutions, ensuring that the system effectively supports real business needs. Facilitate user training, develop comprehensive documentation, and provide ongoing support to maximize user adoption, system utilization, and overall departmental efficiency.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Analyze existing financial processes both within and outside the ERP system, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas ripe for improvement. Propose and implement innovative solutions, including automation features and best practices, to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and significantly improve overall financial management capabilities across the organization.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, end-users, and external vendors. Effectively communicate project status, system changes, potential impacts, and benefits to ensure alignment and enthusiastic buy-in across the entire organization.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in leading and delivering ERP implementation or optimization projects, specifically within finance modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting).
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining ERP systems, performing configurations, optimizing financial workflows, and safeguarding data integrity in a complex business environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external ERP implementation partners and internal cross-functional teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- In-depth understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP), and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences Advertisement
