Reporting directly to the IT Director, this pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to shape and optimize our technological landscape. You will be instrumental in managing, enhancing, and securing our cloud infrastructure, streamlining our software delivery processes through advanced CI/CD pipelines, and implementing cutting-edge security automation. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high availability, security, performance, and scalability of our applications and systems, directly supporting the firm's mission and growth. Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). This includes resource provisioning, configuration management, cost optimization, and disaster recovery planning to support critical legal applications and data.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development & Optimization: Develop, implement, and manage robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes, ensuring rapid, reliable, and consistent deployments across various environments.
- Security Automation & Compliance: Implement and manage automated security controls, vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and access management within our cloud environment. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and legal data security regulations, particularly concerning sensitive client information.
- System Reliability Engineering: Monitor system performance, availability, and health using appropriate tools. Proactively identify and resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to ensure maximum uptime and optimal performance of all critical systems.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development, operations, and legal teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and facilitate seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools. Promote and enforce DevOps best practices, standards, and methodologies across the organization.
- Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and trends, evaluating and recommending solutions that can enhance the firm's technological capabilities and efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on cloud environments.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with security best practices, tools, and automation within cloud environments.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team and cross-functional departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
