Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments on a wide variety of vehicles, including small passenger cars, SUVs, and heavy-duty 4x4s, to accurately identify mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Execute a full spectrum of mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, and servicing tasks, encompassing engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering and suspension components, exhaust systems, and vehicle electrical systems.
  • Utilize and maintain state-of-the-art workshop equipment, including our extensive fleet of 18 hoists, advanced computerized wheel alignment machines, and precision tyre fitting and balancing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough pre-purchase inspections, safety checks, and road tests to verify the integrity and functionality of all repairs and ensure vehicles meet stringent quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with a close-knit team of experienced technicians and service advisors, sharing knowledge and working cohesively to streamline repair processes and enhance overall workshop efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all services performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings, ensuring accurate documentation for both internal tracking and customer transparency.
  • Adhere strictly to all workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and productive working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner when required, explaining technical issues clearly and providing expert advice on vehicle care and maintenance.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a qualified Automotive Technician or Mechanic, demonstrating proficiency in a broad range of mechanical repairs across various vehicle types, from small cars to 4x4s.
  • Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent recognized certification).
  • A valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • Exceptional diagnostic capabilities and strong problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to competently operate modern workshop equipment, including hydraulic hoists, computerized diagnostic tools, wheel alignment systems, and tyre service machinery.
  • A steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring the safety and reliability of every vehicle serviced.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow management.
