Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive interior and exterior detailing of a wide range of vehicles, ensuring pristine condition and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute thorough cleaning processes, including washing, waxing, polishing, and buffing paintwork to remove imperfections and restore shine.
  • Conduct meticulous interior cleaning, including vacuuming, shampooing carpets and upholstery, cleaning and conditioning leather, and sanitising all surfaces.
  • Clean and restore wheels, tires, engine bays, and exterior trim components to a high standard.
  • Apply various protective coatings and treatments to paintwork, glass, and interior surfaces to enhance durability and appearance.
  • Inspect vehicles for minor defects, scratches, or imperfections, reporting findings to senior technicians as required.
  • Assist experienced professionals with basic tasks related to automotive body repair, gaining foundational knowledge and skills in preparation for your qualification.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of detailing equipment, tools, and chemicals safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, actively participating in all training modules for the Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A genuine enthusiasm and high level of motivation to learn and excel in the automotive industry.
  • A strong commitment to completing the Nationally Recognised Qualification Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time work schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Physical stamina and capability to perform hands-on, sometimes demanding, detailing and repair tasks.
  • A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to all aspects of vehicle presentation.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
  • No prior experience in detailing or body repair is necessary, but a passion for vehicles and a desire to build a career in the automotive sector are essential.
  • Excellent work ethic and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques.
